The Metropolitan Museum of Art presents:

Tools and Techniques: Teaching People Who Are Blind or Partially Sighted Through Verbal Imaging and Touch 

Saturday, February 12, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and
Saturday, March 5, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Program fee: $40 per session

This two-part workshop for museum educators and art teachers introduces methods for teaching people who are blind or partially sighted about art. The first session explores the technique of verbal imaging, in which works of art are described in great detail. Part two focuses on using touch to teach art. Participants have an opportunity to practice these methods. The sessions may be taken individually, but attendance at both is recommended.
