Hey everyone,

Below is information about the Phoenix and East Valley chapter
Christmas parties. Please note that the Phoenix party has been moved
to Tempe, and that you can still RSVP if you haven't already!

Unfortunately, I won't be at Phoenix's party due to a prior
engagement, but I will be at East Valley's! If you're new to our
organization (or even if you're not), I hope you will take time to
come to at least one of the parties, and get to know your fellow
Federationists here in Arizona!

As for how to join a chapter, I'd recommend that you pay your dues in
person at a meeting of the chapter that you're interested in joining,
so you can get involved in the chapter right away and learn how you
can become an active member and help the chapter change what it means
to be blind. We have four chapters in Arizona: East Valley, Phoenix,
West Valley and Tucson. Feel free to write me off-list if you want
contact info for a particular chapter president.

Hello, All!
Due to recent, unforeseen complications, the 2007 Phoenix Chapter
Christmas Party has been moved from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church to
Claim Jumpers Restaurant in Tempe, Arizona.  Please accept my most
sincere apology for this last minute notification.  Any and ALL
pre-paid dinner reservations will be fully refunded ASAP.  Donna knows
who you are, and is in the process of sending you the refund.
The new arrangements are as follows:
Date:  Saturday, December 8, 2007
Time:  4:30 p.m. until ... (My ride is scheduled to pick me up at 7:30 p.m.
to go home)
Location:  Claim Jumpers' Restaurant (Tempe)
Note:  Phoenix DAR and East Valley DAR drop and pick up directly
without transferring.
Address:  1530 West Baseline Road
Reserved Under:  Vicki Hodges/Phoenix Chapter
Seating:  Together in the General Dining Room
Ordering:  Off the Menu (Prices range from $8.00 to $20.00 on the average)
Checks:  Individual Checks will be issued with Gratuity included in
the final total per check.
Awards:  The Awards Committee (Chaired by Pamela Davis) will be making
presentations.
Voluntary Gift Exchange:  Due to the circumstance, we WILL NOT be
holding the Voluntary Gift Exchange this year.
If you were not planning to attend the dinner before, but would like
to join us at the Claim Jumpers, please contact me ASAP so the
original number for the Reservation can be increased accordingly.
Again, I apologize for this modification to our plans.  We plan to
make the best of the situation, and celebrate the Christmas Season
with gusto.  You might say that, "We are going to make Egg Nog out of
Eggs!"  It will happen with your enthusiastic participation and Merry
spirits!
