Hi,

Please share the following with any students that you feel would be
interested by this opportunity:

As part of the NSF's initiative to Broaden Participation in Computing, a
colleague and I have garnered funding to offer a pilot of a 4-day summer
workshop for students in grades 7-12 who are interested in computing. The
workshop is for students who are visually impaired and in grades 7-12. The
workshop, called ImagineIT, will be hands-on, with teamwork, and will
expplore various areas of computing including: robotics, computer hardware
and networking, and programming. The workshop will be taking place at the
Rochester Institute of Technology campus July 16-19, 2007.

There is no registration fee and funds are available to help with travel and
lodging in the Rochester, NY area.

More information, including the application materials, can be found at
http://www.se.rit.edu/~imagine-it or by contacting me at
imagine-it at se.rit.edu or by phone at 585.475.7407.

Thank you,
--Steph
