    National convention is fast approaching, and with it comes word of
another Texas tradition that has quickly grown in fame.  As your future
master of ceremonies, let me be the first to unveil Southern Strums 2006:
Texas Edition.  Details of time and place are coming soon.

    For now, we are looking for all the musicians.  I am not looking for
karaoke or self-proclaimed shower singing sensations.  We want raw talent to
be show cased in front of a crowd that is looking for an evening of
wholesome entertainment.  We are looking for singer/songwriters, guitarists,
pianists and anyone else who can turn a stage into a breathing machine.
Love to sing but can't play an instrument?  We'll work with you and our
hand-picked band to complement your vocals.

    So be a part of the tradition.  Sign up now, and let's see just how fast
we can turn this year's Southern Strums into one for the record books!
