Dear Fellow Federationists!

I am writing to request your assistance on one of our top priorities...obtaining increased state funds to match with Federal funds in the Rehabilitation

Services Administration Voc Rehab program.

The Governor has proposed additional $2.9 million for the state match. The Joint Legislative Budget Committee (JLBC) has proposed zero increase. Thus,

we have our work cut out if we are to ensure that RSA will receive the funding it needs to serve more blind and other disabled persons.

Below my message is the list of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee members.

Please contact these members, using the information

provided to contact them.

What to say:

1. RSA had to turn back $9.7 million to the Federal government at the end of June, 2005, because there was not enough state match.

2. Tell them that RSA will have to turn back $10.7 million at the end of June, 2006, if the proposed additional $2.9 million is not included in this year's
budget.

3. Tell them if you live in the legislator's district.

You may not get a chance to speak with the JLBC member, however, you can leave a message listing the 3 points. If you use Email, you can make additional

comments, including how Voc Rehab has assisted you to get training or employment.
