Dear Students and Others Interested in Blind Students,
The Arizona Association of Blind Students (AABS) invites you to attend our second annual fall student seminar on Friday, September 9, 1:00 p.m. to 3:30
p.m. at the Crown Plaza Hotel, 2532 W. Peoria Ave. in Phoenix, Arizona. This seminar will take place during the annual convention of the National Federation
of the Blind of Arizona (NFBA). The seminar features a variety of talented speakers which will address topics including:
1. Experiences of students at the Colorado Center for the Blind,
2. Activities of the National Association of Blind Students,
3. Legal Rights and Advocacy Strategies for Blind College Students,
4. Ways to Bring About Positive Change on College Campuses,
5. Financial Aid Options for College Students, and
6. Adventures of a Blind Student Conducting Research Abroad,
among other things. This seminar will be beneficial to both those inside and outside of the National Federation of the Blind.
