>This is a convention related message going out to all NFB lists. As some of you know, I serve as Chairman of the PAC Plan Committee, Preauthorized Check Plan. This program allows us to contribute to the organization each month and do so directly out of our checking account. The minimum donation is $5.00 a month with no top end. The program raises about $370,000.00 for the national organization each year.
>
>If you are already on the program, we ask that you consider raising your pledge at the Convention. If you are not on the program, we ask you to consider signing up at the Convention. For those who want to increase, all we need is your signature. For those who are new, please bring a blank check which we can void. If you want to join and don't have a check, we won't be able to sign you up at the Convention.
>
>We try to have some fun with the program during convention. From time-to-time, little rewards will be given out to people responding at certain times during the Convention. We gave away boxes of chocolate and free nights at the hotel and certificates to various hotel restaurants. We also have two drawings at the end of convention for $100.00 for those who have either increased their pledge and for those who have joined anew. We also award the PAC Rat to the state affiliate who has the most people sign up or increase and we award the PAC Mule to the Division who has the most activity. Last year Maryland and the Merchants won respectively.
>
>So, as the song goes, get on the PAC Plan. . . We'll see you at the Convention. We will operate a table starting at Registration Sunday morning, at Registration Monday, and during all general sessions at the back of the Convention Hall. See you in Louisville!!
