Subject: [nabs-l] Attitudes Encountered by People Who are Blind &
VisuallyImpaired
Are you concerned with the attitudes that sighted individuals have toward
people who are blind and visually impaired? I know I am. As a person with
a visual impairment, I have pondered this issue time and time again. As a
result, I have decided to make this my main area of research as part of my
doctorate. My ultimate goal is to study attitudes in an attempt to inform
policy and practice so that people who are blind and visually impaired are
provided with equal opportunity.
Therefore, your participation and assistance is needed. I would greatly
appreciate it if you could complete the online survey as well as forward
this e-mail to any blind and visually impaired college students you know.
Since this research is being conducted for a class, I need to have all data
collected no later than April 25th. It should take no more than 20 minutes
to complete the survey in its entirety.
Thank you for your assistance! I have included the link to the online
survey at the end of this email. By the way, this survey has been examined
for compatibility with screen readers. Please let me know if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
Loana Mason
