Hello everyone,
I need some personal experience stories to share with "resistant" teachers and parents. Constantly
trying to educate others about blindness and the benefits of braille!
I would like feedback on teaching braille to kids who can read print - even regular size print.
We have a few elementary students all over our district who can read print material but need/would benefit from
learning braille; we are finding resistance among other professionals and parents. These students have
a variety of eye conditions, many of which are considered "stable".
If you are a dual reader, please share your brief experience and the benefits of learning braille.
Too often people just look at what's happening right now, and don't look to the future.
Thanks for your input and help.
