Note: Many of you will get this message twice; I wanted to make sure that both the Arizona-Students list and those who attended the March seminar got this. If you get this message twice, just disregard the duplicate.

I will be sending more comprehensive information about the state convention shortly. It is at the Tucson Sheraton, Sept. 10-12, 2004. Most people will be arriving on the evening of Thursday, September 9. We will be having a special student movie night at the hotel, but we want to be sure to get a described (DVS) movie that everyone wants to see! Please choose your top three from the following list of movies and email me if you are planning to come to the state convention with your vote. Also, please add your suggestions when you reply if you have any that are not on this list.

Also, we will be offering financial assistance to a limited number of students (probably more than one this time) who would like to attend the convention. The hotel rooms are $64 per night, plus tax (that's for the whole room, so if you have four people in your room, you would pay only about $20 per night). Registration is $70 for the convention if you buy all the meals, $40 if you pay for just the banquet, and $10 if you buy no meals. On average, most people will probably pay about $150 for the convention.

If you wish to receive financial assistance, please email me or call me at
602-502-2255
with your name, amount that you can afford to spend on the convention, and whether or not you have been to an NFBA convention in the past. We will make our funding decision over the Labor Day weekend, so please write or call before Wednesday, September 1.

And now, for the list of movies:

1. Independence Day
2. Terminator
3. A Beautiful Mind
4. Minority Report
5. Pirates of the Caribean
6. Mrs. Doubtfire
7. Apollo 13
8. Alice in Wonderland
9. Back to the Future
10. Harry Potter
11. Sister Act
12. Star Wars
13. Liar Liar
14. Mighty Joe Young
15. other ideas?
