[AG-EQ] Just a week ago

You might recall that it was just a week plus a day ago that we had the largest flood on record, 
but, nevertheless, when I was pulling out some grass yesterday at the base of the floodbank, but on 
the house side, not the river's , the soil was, scarcely, damp and one would have thought that a 
drop or two of the millions of gallons of water that were sloshing around just a few feet away would 
hav seeped through, but such was not the case!
Keith, one of my neighbours grazes a couple of cattle beasts in the River Paddock but he did get 
them out in time, but he will not be able to put them back there for, I guess, a month or so because 
all the grass will be covered with a layer of silt, so that will have to dry out and blow away or be 
buried by inches of new growth.
Did I tell you that it was not the bridge over my creek that Sam saw travelling at, high speed, 
towards Foveaux Strait!
