>Want to strengthen your state affiliate and local chapter? Want to reach out to our new members or potential members? Have you considered developing a more formalized approach to mentoring in your local chapter? If you have answered yes to any one of these questions then come to the Edelweiss Room, Atrium Mezzanine, during National Convention on Wednesday, July 5, from 2:00 to 4:00.

>Join the seminar - MENTORING - IT'S MORE THAN JUST A WORD. Come learn from those who have established a more formal approach to mentoring in their states. Presenters are Keri Nuzum, state coordinator of the Iowa Pathfinder mentoring program, Norma Crosby, coordinator of the Louisiana Bridges mentoring program, and Carlos Serván, coordinator of the Nebraska mentoring program. These presenters will talk to us about the benefits of a more formalized mentoring program and how it will help to strengthen our state affiliates. There will also be a panel of mentors who are presently in formal mentoring programs talking about the successes and, yes, even the challenges of being a mentor.

>So mark you calendar, come join the fun, and set the stage for our future by becoming active in mentoring.
