Welcome to the blind-rollers list! This list is intended as a support / advocacy group for persons who are physically disabled in some way in addition to being blind. The list is of course also open to interested friends or family members of such persons. Topics of discussion on this list include but are not limited to issues of access, mobility, independent living, legal rights, finding assistance or aides, and of course social and emotional concerns. My hope is that this list can provide a forum for discussing issues not addressed anywhere else relating to blindness compounded by other physical disabilities. Of course there are many types of disabilities and each person's situation is unique. As the name of the list implies, this forum tends to address the needs of persons who require a wheelchair all or part of the time, or else have trouble walking. This is different from the needs of, say, a deaf-blind individual. While deaf persons are welcome to join the list, this list is intended mainly for persons with mobility impairments. The list is moderated by Laura Eaves. Subscribing to Blind-rollers
Subscribe to Blind-rollers by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
