In May of 2003, I presented a paper at the annual DAISY Consortium conference, "DAISY For All." The paper was titled Simplified Home Recording by Volunteers and among other things presents a good overview of the efforts at Minnesota State Services for the Blind, SSB, in converting from analog to digital technology. If you have an interest in what is involved in converting from analog cassette book recording to using the DAISY Digital Talking Book format, this might be interesting reading to you.
